Wachsman is now seeking a talented Account Supervisor, known internally and to clients as Senior Consultant, for immediate hire.

This is a fully remote role and we are open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.

Duties:

  • Supporting the management of day-to-day client activities, projects, and deliverables.
  • Partnering with account leads to develop and implement communications strategies for clients.
  • Managing daily internal & external communications across accounts.
  • Responding to challenging, technical inquiries from clients, press, and external organizations. Ensuring all inbound requests and questions are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Fostering new and significant industry contacts, while maintaining relationships with key media.
  • Demonstrating commitment to industry, agency, and clients by mastering industry knowledge and understanding clients businesses.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
  • Managing and mentoring junior staff members (Consultants, Associates, Executives, and Interns).
  • Delegating and overseeing the work of direct reports, identifying opportunities for professional development.
  • Supporting the leadership team in the growth of the business.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience conducting media relations, strategy, and account management, at increasing levels of responsibility. PR agency experience required.
  • Track record of pro-actively pitching and securing media coverage across a variety of mediums, with a focus on strategic media relations.
  • Experience working with clients in financial technology, B2B technology, or other similar industries strongly preferred. Must be able to understand the technology and business media landscape inside and out.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and transfer complex information in a concise and clear form.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and tactfully manage stressful situations with tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of prioritizing, planning, and delegating effectively across multiple accounts and teams.
  • Experience managing junior team members, supporting them in career progression.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of social, organizational, and professional standards in job-related activities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; developing rapport with clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Professional, client-ready demeanor and presence in all communications and interactions (video, email/slack, in-person if applicable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem solving & solutions-oriented.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Demonstrating autonomy over assigned work while working towards goals shared by the team.
  • Crisis communications experience a plus.
  • Experience working within the crypto/blockchain/Web3 industry is a plus!
