Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A or B Truck Driver to join our team at GMCO llc in Rifle Colorado. As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting aggregate from gravel pits or stockpiles to our road construction equipment on location. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products. This is a seasonal job and starts at the end of April and goes to the middle/end of October. We would consider a full-time position depending on driving and mechanical experience.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tandem axel Dump Truck to transport goods and materials
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Ensure the security of the cargo during transportation
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A or B) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift heavy freight and operate heavy equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
