We are looking for a full time laser operator. The laser operation itself can be learned on the job but previous experience in flat metals and CNC controls is perfered.

Responsibilities and Duties

Operating Mazak and Bystronic CNC Laser Cutting Machines. Uploading programs, loading, cutting and unloading. Both computer work (Operating laser controller) and physical labor are required in this job. This is a full time position with overtime available.

Qualifications and Skills

Dependability, quality conscious, problem solving, work well with others and self-motivated. Previous CNC, machine operation or laser operation is preferable along with sheet metal and plate knowledge. Lifting heavy objects and being on your feet all day is also required.

LASER OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

*Essential Functions

This position would be using Mazak and Bystronic Fiber lasers, also Timesaver machine. This is a fast paced and high energy level position that requires constantly making changes and adapting to the challenges presented each day. The essential functions and duties of this position are as follows:

• Perform typical laser cutting operations of loading and unloading the laser machine.
• Select proper cutting programs and using the correct gauge/type of material as required by the work order.
• Establish proper cut conditions
• Perform maintenance and cleaning as required.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
• Operating forklifts

Salary: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
