Summary

This position will be responsible for executing the directives of the warehouse department at Shreveport, Louisiana, by loading and unloading trucks, overseeing shipping/receiving and delivering parts to appropriate departments. The position interacts directly with the Parts Supervisor and other administrative staff to maintain and organize the warehouse and assist in maintaining accurate inventory. Operate forklift to unload, load and file/store parts orders.

Responsibilities

Load/unload trucks, transport pallet/skids within the facility
- Delivering packages and parts received to the appropriate person or department
- Inspect and review rejected parts from VPC/Heavy Departments
- Store and track OEM parts/materials
- Stocking throw-in area with PIO parts as needed

Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Parts
- Assist in reconciling monthly inventory
- Shipping, preparing shipments of PIO/Warranty/Body Shop/Campaign parts.
- Receiving, comparing parts received to Packing list and communicating any and all discrepancies.
- Communicate any inventory issues with Department Supervisor
- Maintains a separate log of all PIO parts received.
- Receive replacement parts for defectives that are missing components and restores them to like-new condition
- Monitor production radio and respond to production needs
- Maintain proper stacking/labeling in organized manner according to customer requirements

Operate company vehicles for the purpose of transporting inventory and materials to designated locations.

Assist in Rejected parts
- Maintain forklift and golf cart batteries
- Store and quarantine hazardous materials
- Clean and maintain warehouse
- Transferring of parts in the system prior to the physical movement of parts to different locations such as taking parts to the floor.

Other duties as assigned
- Break down used pallets and boxes
- Participate in monthly, and annually scheduled physical parts inventory
- Help in Throw-in dept to distribute accessory parts when needed

Qualifications

Skills

• Forklift Certified
• Must be willing and able to cross-train in other departmental needs
• Requires flexibility with schedule including break times as well as working extended hours, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to record and verify numbers 17 characters in length
• Must be able to follow instructions
• Must have demonstrated mechanical abilities
• Must have a general knowledge of automobile components

Education & Experience

• High School / GEDpreferred
• 1 year of experience preferred
