Summary
The Safety/Security Office will monitor and enforce safety regulations and programs to ensure a safe and accident-free work environment for all employees. They will also be responsible for conducting facility and vehicle handling safety audits for all employees, assisting with conducting OSHA training, and investigating vehicle accidents and injuries.
*Position will be 3rd shift, but will be required to train on 1st shift*
Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Primary
- Roving patrol to enforce safety regulations (Speeding, cellphone usage, PPE violations, Dress Code, Vehicle handling, etc.)
- Enforcing security protocols (Inspect fence line, check the gate access, etc.)
- Monitoring the work environment for possible hazards such as slips, trips, falls, electrical shock, and exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Conducting inspections of facilities to ensure a safe working environment
- Conducting training sessions on safety procedures to ensure that all employees are aware of hazards in the workplace
Secondary
- Conducting investigations regarding accidents and injuries to identify causes
- Assist with company vehicle management
- Assist with safety related projects and training
- Assist with entering accident and injury reports into PMvitals

Qualifications
Skills
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- Strong ability to identify and correct errors.
- Proficient with PC skills: Excel, Word.
- Competence in reacting and handling emergencies.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/GED requires; Bachelors Degree preferred
- 2 Years experience in Safety/Security required; 5 Years Experience preferred
- Must hold valid Drivers License

Working and Environmental Conditions
This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting.
