Summary

The Analyst, Parts Logistics position will be responsible for supporting, planning, organizing, evaluating, and reporting all activities associated with the Parts Distribution business. Associated tasks will include daily monitoring, analyzing relevant data, formulating reports, developing presentations, support with selecting and managing carriers, preparing network optimization studies, and developing and monitoring annual business plans as related to Parts Distribution and report relevant KPI's.

Responsibilities

• Support Daily Operations
  • Assist in financial and operational due diligence, when applicable, by collecting and analyzing financial and operational data
  • Prepare analysis, projections, and forecasts as they relate to Parts Distribution
  • Collect historical data, and research/consider trends (from an internet source or target company's internal systems) to develop a reasonable forecast
• Billing Activities
  • Monitor, report, and resolve daily billing activities and prepare monthly forecast and accruals as needed
  • Monitor collections and payments (AR/AP)
  • Formulate project reports as requested by Finance and/or Operations Departments
  • Prepare analysis, projections, and forecasts as they relate to Parts Distribution
  • Assist with all business activities with EDI and manual invoicing
  • Assist month end updates, billings, aging management, and monthly accruals
• Status Updates & KPI Development
  • Effectively communicate with Management on business, current statuses, and issues and resolutions to provide better customer service, and any other assignments related to department
  • Assist develop KPI to measure the effectiveness of the carriers/service providers
  • Assist develop, issue, maintain and analyze RFQ responses from carriers/service providers as needed
• Other Duties as Assigned

Compensation

• $48,000 - $55,000 per year

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication, critical thinking, planning, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills preferred
• Proficient PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Database Management Systems
• Experience in SAP is preferred, but not required
• Ability to logically and systematically work through problems
• Must possess necessary interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with different departments and current customers

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• 1 - 2 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Experience in Transportation and Logistics is required
• Experience in Parts or Vehicle Distribution in the Automotive Industry is preferred
• Excel training and/or certification is preferred
• Hazmat training CFR49 is preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
• Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
• Stand/walk
