**Contract role for Switch Technician**

We are looking for a skilled Switch - RAN and Transport Engineer with experience in wireless network equipment and MSO/Switch environments. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network equipment to ensure excellent network performance. Nokia equipment expertise required

Daily Responsibilities

• Vendor Support: Check in and out vendors to ensure smooth operations.
• Equipment Programming: Program and configure routers.
• Card RMA Handling: Manage the return and replacement of faulty network cards.
• Switch Walkthroughs: Perform daily checks of the switch to monitor and maintain operations.
• Network Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot voicemail systems, HLR, VLR, BSC, SMSC, and IWF.
• Configuration and Fault Management: Ensure proper settings and handle faults in the network.
• Database Backups: Backup databases and maintain hardware and software.
• Vendor Collaboration: Coordinate with telecom vendors for new equipment installations.
• RF Engineering Support: Assist RF engineers to optimize network performance.

Preferred Background/Prior Work Experience

• Experience: At least 3 years in a similar role.
• Industry Knowledge: Carrier level switch experience preferred. Nokia platform expertise
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of wireless network systems.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
