Gloria Ferrer Winery is Hiring a Hospitality Support (part time/seasonal) Near Sonoma, CA

SUMMARY

The Hospitality Support team members are integral in ensuring our guests and members have memorable and exceptional experiences. They support wine educators in delivering excellent service, maintaining the visitor center in pristine condition, and ensuring that our winery is represented in the best possible light.


SCHEDULE

  • Mainly weekends, Friday - Sunday. May increase depending on business needs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up seating areas for members and guests by cleaning and resetting tables with the appropriate glassware, menus, and plateware.
  • Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replacing water jugs, and addressing additional guest needs promptly.
  • Re-stock wine, replenish packaging, maintain glassware stations, run food, and manage trash/recycling receptacles.
  • Aid in the set-up, break-down, and service of special events, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Assist in the opening and closing of the Visitor Center, including stocking inventory and other necessary areas.
  • Ensure the Visitor Center meets company standards for safety, cleanliness, and neatness in all areas, both inside and outside, ensuring accessibility for all customers.
  • Follow all alcohol safety and regulatory policies.


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the Gloria Ferrer Culture is consistently supported in all business and employee interactions. Including, ethical and legal aspects, compliant with state and federal law and Gloria Ferrer policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Hospitality and/or restaurant experience a plus
  • Must have RBS certification (or complete within 30 days).
  • Competency with computers and iPad.
  • Clear, respectful and direct communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in English for speaking, reading, writing, and math.
  • Team player mentality with a focus on safety, sustainability, and quality
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

  • Must be able to work outdoors in extremes of heat/humidity/cold and other inclement weather conditions
  • Must be able to walk on uneven ground.
  • Must be able to see clearly enough to a) drive safely b) recognize employees and guests
  • Must be able to sustain the repeated use of hands as well as long periods of standing, walking and bending
  • Must be able to lift up to 48 lbs.


COMPENSATION

  • $19.50 per hour, plus gratuity
