Seeking a Warehouse Associate/Manufacturing Associate in a Receiver role for a full-time contract position with benefits. The position is at a manufacturing plant of a major corporation. Initial duration is six months with the possibility of extension. The position is in the second shift, 10 hour shift - four day work week. Working hours are 3:30pm to 2:00am. Overtime available for Fri & Sat based off need. The position is at a manufacturing plant of a major corporation.

Responsibilities:

This Receiver is responsible for supporting the Materials group to achieve plant distribution goals and sustain operational efficiency through material handling and receiving duties.

• Moving material throughout the facility to maintain proper flow, distribution, and accuracy of materials and supplies in the entire plant (inside/outside) and
• Receiving materials when needed with occasional deliveries to FedEx and/or UPS.

Job Duties

• Check materials and/or products to be shipped against a variety of documentation, including freight bills, packing slips, purchase orders, etc.
• Package, label, and seal a variety of containers.
• Occasional delivery/driving materials
• Receiving shipments as needed
• Use a variety of hand trucking and weighing equipment.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of transactions.
• Load and unload a variety of vehicles, using hand carts and fork trucks upon certification.
• Deliver parts and supplies to and from stocking areas.

Additional Requirements

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
• Able to stand and walk
• Operate lifting aids and/or overhead hoists to manipulate and move parts
• Be cross-trained and cover peers’ absences (including service packer)
• Maintain accurate maintenance records by completing the forklift safety audit at the start of every shift

Skills Required

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software
• Good problem-solving skills/Strong verbal communication skills/Strong teamwork skills
• Good attention to detail
• Able to follow-through on assigned tasks
• Warehouse Management Software (WMS)
• Current driver’s license/ability to drive company van
• Forklift certification

Skills Preferred

• Prior experience operating fork trucks or other powered industrial vehicles.
• Upon hire, must pass forklift examination and operate forklift in a safe manner.

Education Required

Highschool Diploma

Work Experienced Required

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in experience in a manufacturing or assembly operation preferred

Work Experienced Preferred

• Prior experience with the following software is helpful: Excel, Oracle, FCS, WMS, Premium Freight Database, UPS Website and Outlook
• Proficiency in inventory transaction integrity
• Prior experience receiving materials
