GST is actively seeking a JuniorScientist / Physics - Chemistry in support of our Department ofHomeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T)Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) customer working full-time at the FAATechnical Center in the Atlantic City, NJ. The person in this role will performstudies and analyses related to the development of Security technologies.Assists in planning and executesexperiments/tests related to the science of explosives and weapons detection(physics/chemistry), including recording and analysis of data.Contributes to comprehensive technicalreports, data reports and other publications.
The objective of this positionis to provide support services required by the DHS to support the productionand quality control of trace standards, formulations, solutions, substrates andtest articles; the production and packaging of in-house and commercialsimulants, and simulant-related test articles. The Junior Scientist willperform production and packaging at the TSL in accordance with establishedsafety procedures and using product specifications and processes establishedand documented at the TSL.
