Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential support to patients and assist with their daily activities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse - Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming - Monitor vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff - Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times - Collect specimens for testing and perform basic medical procedures, such as wound care and catheterization - Maintain a clean and organized patient environment - Document patient information accurately and timely - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program - Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Previous experience in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of medical procedures - Familiarity with electronic health records systems (Cerner) is a plus - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Skills: - Hospital experience - Working with people with developmental disabilities - Patient care and caregiving skills - Knowledge of aseptic technique - Familiarity with medical office procedures - Experience in critical care settings is a plus - Proficiency in medical terminology - Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system is preferred - Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) We offer competitive pay rates and comprehensive benefits packages for eligible employees.
