Key Responsibilities

• Educational Instruction: Plan and conduct effective educational lessons that meet the learning needs of assigned students.
• Assessment: Employ research-based assessment tools to measure student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
• Feedback and Re-teaching: Offer constructive feedback and provide additional teaching to ensure mastery of learning objectives.
• Collaboration: Work closely with parents, guardians, and colleagues to support student learning and address educational needs.
• Curriculum Implementation: Effectively utilize the approved curriculum to guide instructional activities.
• IEP Modifications: Implement any required changes in students' Individual Education Plans (IEP) to support their educational development.
• Consulting with Staff: Partner with other staff members to maximize teaching effectiveness and improve student outcomes.
• Reporting: Compile comprehensive written reports and handle administrative tasks associated with teaching duties.
• Discipline: Apply preventive discipline techniques to foster a positive learning environment.
• Character Education: Model and teach students the importance of moral and performance character virtues.
• Additional Duties: Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Certification: Must hold a current Teacher Certification from the State of Florida.
• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience and must be proficient in working with children who have disabilities
• Technology: Proficient in using and learning new technology efficiently.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and SharePoint

Schedule and Salary

• Position Type: Summer position, temporary.
• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Dates: June 5, 2024, to August 9, 2024.
