GLOBAL PRECISION GROUP is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Muskego, WI

The QAT’s primary purpose is promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout Global Precision Group (GPG). The secondary purpose is to develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the GPG’s quality systems and policies into compliance with quality system requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

· First article inspection, in process inspection, gauge set-up and calibration

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, documentation, engineering specifications and GD&T

· Requires proficiency in completion and understanding of APQP, PPAP, ISIR. FMEA and 8D Corrective Actions.

· Operate CMM’s using PC-DMIS and/or Calypso software. (programming a plus)

· Hands on approach toward floor involvement i.e., work station audits etc.

· Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

· Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

· Assist with the Development, implementation, communication and maintenance of a quality plan to keep the Company’s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements.

· Maintain GPG’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.

· Assess the part specifications of GPG and its suppliers, and compare with customer requirements.

· Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.

· Monitor performance by gathering and analyzing relevant data.

· Willing to train the right individual in areas but must have a fundamental understanding of quality in a Manufacturing environment.

· Communicate with customers’ auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

· 4 years prior experience in Quality Assurance for production machining supplier.

· Demonstrated experience working with manufacturers, suppliers, or customers.

· Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Position is located at the GPG’s Muskego, Wisconsin headquarters. Quality Tech position would be mostly operating from within the quality lab with some time also spent on the production floor. The position will sometimes require more than 40 hours in a week and occasionally require weekend work. The normal working hours are 1st shift 5:00am to 9:00pm 2nd shift 1:00pm to 9:00pm. Pay commensurate with experience.

The Quality Tech will sometimes need to operate an overhead crane to lift parts on and off of the cmm’s. The Quality Tech will need to occasionally lift heavy objects. In addition, the Quality Tech will need to maintain sharp metal focus and attend to minute details of machining as this position can sometimes be mentally demanding.
