Global Neurosciences Institute, Philadelphia Area is Hiring a Patient Access / Scheduling Coordinator Near West Chester, PA

Global Neurosciences Institute is an extraordinarily innovative team of the most highly trained and skilled neurosurgeons, neurologists and researchers in the country.

The Patient Access Coordinator, under direct supervision of the Patient Access Manager, works directly with patients and health care professionals to coordinate and manage appointments, schedules and billing. The PAC is the point of contact for patients who are interested in services offered and is responsible for representing the organization while initiating a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background and knowledge in commercial and government health insurance plans. Experience with medical scheduling and customer service is required. The ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume setting is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for promptly and professionally answering calls in a high-volume call center setting.
  • Provides information and determines appropriate services, scheduling accordingly.
  • Data entry of new patient information with 100% accuracy and verification of established patient demographic information when necessary.
  • Provides effective communication with patients, providers and staff.
  • Verifies medical health insurance benefits and reviews with patients.
  • Cross trains in other office staff positions to offer coverage as necessary.
  • Schedules new and established patient appointments.
  • Explains and educates patients on appointment details.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of health care scheduling experience.
  • Three to five years of experience with verification of medical (commercial and government) benefits.
  • Three to five years of experience with electronic health records.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage day to day tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word, teams, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
