GLOBAL MACHINE is Hiring a Drafter/Estimator Near Muskogee, OK

Description:

This position combines skills in estimating and drafting to provide accurate cost estimates and technical drawings for construction projects. Responsibilities include project planning and execution by assessing project requirements, creating detailed drawings, and estimating costs based on material and labor considerations. Must be able to collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive project documentation.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project specifications and requirements to understand the scope of work.
  • Create detailed technical drawings and blueprints using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Estimate project costs by calculating material quantities, labor hours, and associated expenses.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather relevant project information.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and competitive project bids and proposals.
  • Review and analyze construction documents and specifications for accuracy.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide technical expertise and support.
  • Ensure that project estimates align with company standards and profitability goals.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: (Preferred, but not required) Degree in drafting, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in estimating and drafting for construction projects.
  • CAD Software: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Mathematics: Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost calculations.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and precision in creating technical drawings.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with project management and scheduling tools.
  • Agile: Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Continuous Learning: Continuous learning and staying updated on advancements in drafting and estimating practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
