POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a motivated person to fill a Controller position with our company. This position will report to CFO and will work closely with the company’s CEO and Senior leadership team to support organizational growth while maintaining strong financial discipline. The Controller is responsible for managing all accounting functions, coordinating audit and tax work, internal controls, cash management, budgeting and expense management, reporting, and analysis; performing oversight of payroll processing; working closely with HR and FP&A team. Must be a results-oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to interact well with employees, customers, subcontractors/vendors and find solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• All accounting functions including payables, receivables, and general ledger accounting in accordance with GAAP
• Coordinate intracompany transactions
• Responsible for month-end close, monthly reporting, and reconciliations
• Coordinating audit and tax work with the outside firm and work with Board’s Audit Committee
• Coordinate annual budgeting process, effectively maintain cost controls
• Work closely with FP&A team on forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis
• Responsible for updating and/or developing accounting policies and procedures, maintaining internal controls
• Responsible for payroll function, overseeing payroll administrator and working with HR as necessary
• Corporate insurance and compliance responsibilities
• Cash management and treasury responsibilities
• Ensure integrity of accounting data
• Review vendor and customer contracts to ensure the terms and conditions are aligned with company expectations, working with outside legal counsel as necessary
• Manage accounting team
• Perform various other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years of experience Finance and Accounting Leadership roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial controls and procedures
• Proficiency of accounting software and banking applications
• Proficiency in Excel
• Ability to analyze data and develop improvements and solutions
• Ability to respond quickly to ad-hoc requests
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Ability to manage and motivate team
• Strong organizational skills required
