GLOBAL HOME HOSPICE SERVICE INC is looking for a Part Time Licensed Vocational Nurse On Call Runner (WEEKENDS ONLY). In this position, the LVN is expected to visits patients AS NEEDED only (if patient is in need of a nurse visit)

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care after hours as needed.
• Implements current nursing practices following a comprehensive assessment and the plan of care.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of care.
• Participates in coordination of hospice services, appropriately reporting the identified needs to the interdisciplinary group.
• Uses equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently.
• Calls the Medical Director if there is a new order for medications.
• Writes the doctor's order and order the medication from the Pharmacy.
• Attends crisis calls/visits after office hours.
• Performs triage with the caregiver/family regarding patient needs, pain crisis, end-of-life issues and death.

Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited Vocational Nurses Program.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Currently licensed as a LVN in the State of California.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• CPR
• California Driver's License
• Auto Insurance
• Understands philosophy of the hospice concept. Also understand needs of the terminally ill.
• Physical Exam, TB Test or Chest Xray
• Professional Liability Insurance
• Bilingual LVN preferred

Coverage Area:
San Gabriel Valley, Inland Empire, Orange County

Hours:

Saturday: 8am - 8am (sunday morning)

Sunday: 8am- 8am (monday morning)

Compensation:

$15/ day to be on call

$50/visit if you get sent out
Mileage will be reimbursed after 20 mile radius.
