Global Force USA is Hiring a Security Guard Near Mammoth, KY
Description Description of services to be provided: 4.1. Safeguarding the Job Corps CCC buildings, properties, supplies, students and employees and allowing only authorized people access to the property and buildings.
4.2. Must speak, read, and write English fluently, possess the ability to communicate effectively, must be able to write clear, accurate detailed reports, maintain tour (shift) logs as required, have the ability to read, understand direction, and apply policies, rules, and detailed orders.
4.3. Provide personnel screening, visitor processing, package screening and controlling and patrolling area(s) while maintaining one's poise and self-control under stress and be able to intercede when needed in disorderly behavior, accidents and be capable of self-defense to ward off a potential attacker or to protect others.
4.4. Guards may be required to carry cell phones, radio equipment and other equipment while on duty and always carry and/or display company identification, while on Federal property and must have a working knowledge of intrusion devices, facilities system locations, significance of trouble/fire alarm signal indicators, fire hydrants, fire extinguishers and proper use of the same.
4.5. The duties will require serving at rotating posts, making rounds, and managing and monitoring access, monitoring activity via video and visual observance investigating and reporting suspicious activity, and potential threats, monitoring all internal surveillance and alarm systems (such as fire suppression or perimeter warnings) at the Job Corps CCC.
4.6. Operation of licensed motor vehicles may also be required (On center only).
4.7. Uniforms must be presentable, clean and fit properly. Pants, shirt, boots and or black shoes (oxford type) are preferred, tennis shoes are not allowed without a medical exception, belt, and hat with security emblem.
4.8. Guards must be in proper uniform at all times while on duty, and report to center duty officer upon arrival daily to show they are in proper uniform and are present for their shift.
4.9. Provide weather appropriate uniforms that will be worn and maintained in good condition.
4.10. Provide access control to facilities and buildings.
4.11. Monitor staff, student, public and contractor/vendor traffic.
4.12. Greet everyone in a friendly and professional manner.
4.13. Regulate entry and exit of the campus.
4.14. Use of vetting procedures to ensure proper access authorization.
4.15. Answers and screens incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate staff and/or
department.
Required4.16. Monitor and maintain all required security documentation, which will be provided at the beginning of the period of performance by the Job Corps CCC, and may include:
4.16.1. Access, Screening and Exit Logs
4.16.2. Incident Report Logs (center to provide the template format)
4.16.3. Inspection and Damage Reports for both vehicles and property
4.17. Monitoring security video (security video monitoring will be phased in with equipment installation currently in progress at Forest Service centers.)
4.18. Monitoring dining hall at mealtimes per direction of the Center Director.
4.19. Checking luggage of departing or arriving students for contraband per the center's needs
4.20. Intervene with non-lethal, passive means in the event of an incident.
4.21. Provide active shooter and other types of training applicable to security related practices.
4.22. The security personnel will not initiate physical force with a staff or student.
4.23. Report any discrepancies or problems to the shift supervisor on center or center designee.
4.24. Report safety issues to the center safety officer.
4.25. Report all major incidents immediately to the shift supervisor for communication to the Center Director and/or Acting Center Director or designee, they will make final determination on how to address the situation.
4.26. All emergency situations should be reported to the local authorities as well as the Center Director and/or Acting Center Director or designee.
4.27. Conduct security checks on ALL Center facilities and property at least three (3) times throughout the assigned shift using established protocol. The first security check should occur at the beginning of each shift to verify conditions, the remainder should be randomly spaced throughout shift.
4.28. Maintain a daily log of events per center requirements as; arrival and departure, events out of ordinary, weather, special guests, etc. This log will remain on center at all times. The log must be done in a professional manner, with penmanship that is readable.
4.29. Check locks, alarms, fences, gates, or other barriers to ensure they are closed and locked or open and unlocked, depending on the time of day and the conditions that are supposed to apply, either lock/secure door when appropriate, or call center shift supervisor to have someone with appropriate keys to secure.
4.30. Report and document any suspicious activity.
4.31. Report and document any damaged property.
4.32. Report and document any damage to Government vehicles, which also should include maintenance problems, (i.e. visible fluid leaks, etc.).
4.33. Utilize the centers protocol for vehicle usage.
4.34. Maintain Center access controls such as keys or access cards in a secure, responsible manner Contractor will be provided one (1) set of keys/access cards to buildings on Center (at the center directors discretion). These must remain on Center at all times and secured in a lockable safe and/or metal box that will be provided by the Job Corps CCC. All keys/access cards must be returned to Center upon expiration of this contract.
4.35. Maintain radio that is issued to guards from center. All radios must remain on center at all times and be used to maintain communication with the center staff throughout the shift.
4.36. Maintain duty station locations, including lunch/breakroom and restrooms, are clean, neat and orderly manner at all times.
4.37. Check in and out with center staff using established center procedures at the beginning and end of each shift.

4.39. Guards will not utilize their personal phones except on break or lunch time.
4.40. Guards will remain alert and awake for the entire shift.
