Responsible for the planning, organizing, and monitoring of client services activities, focusing on enforcing standards/procedures that result in projects being on-time, within budget, and to the client's complete satisfaction. It also entails full cycle management of all Client Services Managers throughout the respective region and assisting the Director of Client Services with department-wide initiatives. This is a remote position, but must be within reasonable driving distance to the local GES office for in-person meetings (respective of Las Vegas Office).

Responsibilities
    Structure, lead, train and develop Client Services staff
  • Serve as a member of the management team driving regional improvements in growth and profitability
  • Conduct interviews and make recommendations for new hires, consultants and replacement personnel
  • Administer annual reviews and recommend merit increases, while staying within company budget
  • Assist Client Services Managers achieve annual performance goals
  • Monitor daily workloads and account assignments, providing a balance between all Client Services Managers and assisting with individual tasks or whole projects during busy periods
  • Work to develop effective systems to streamline procedures and enhance overall group performance
  • Monitor and approve vacation requests, sick time, and expense reports
  • Ensure processes run smoothly on time, and results are executed without flaws
  • Ensure proper communication and resolve conflicts both internally and externally, resulting in smooth workflow from different departments including but not limited to Operations, Exhibitor Success, Graphics, Design and Business Development staff
  • Collaborates on account assignments as needed
  • Provide show-site support as needed
  • Production of events as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or another business-related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory support role or equivalent; or demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Experience in employee training, mentoring and development
  • Experience in convention and trade show industry preferred
  • Ability to communicate customer-focused concepts within, and outside, the department
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to reach people through highly developed verbal and written skills
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
Work Environment
  • Travel required 30%
  • Remote position, but to be located within an hour of a GES facility
  • Working nights and weekends when necessary
  • Position may require long hours for several months of the year. Work may be performed on the event floor, in noisy and crowded areas or in outside event locations.
  • Can frequently encounter uncomfortable temperatures, dust and/or other conditions.
