Overview

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the project manager in overseeing and managing assigned governmental contracts. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing duties as detailed in the PWS or other contracted services. Quality customer service is expected to be provided to the customer at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position.

Role Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.
    • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a custodial management or related role.
  • Must have experience dealing with government personnel/customers concerning contracted services.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge (Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.).
  • Must be physically able to perform general tasks detailed in the assigned contract(s).
  • Must interact appropriately with customers and team members.
  • Must have good management communication (writing and verbal) and people skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in the state they reside, have a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under corporate policy.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specified contract(s).
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings, as appropriate.

Field Operations

  • Assist Project Manager in the daily operation of specific contract services delivered to customers in a timely and quality manner.
  • Assume the role of "acting" Project Manager in their absence.
  • Take responsibility for job training for staff, including safety lessons from LCI/GCE training materials.
  • Orientate and train new team members in the safe and proper operations of equipment.
  • Perform direct contract functions and/or labor as required.

Team Leadership (Supervisory)

  • Interview, select, and train team members to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the workforce.
  • Manage team members to promote maximum productivity, achievement of program goals, and favorable team member retention.
  • Conduct annual team member performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  • Address team member complaints per company policies and procedures.
  • Discipline team members per company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct supervisory administrative duties, including weekly scheduling, timesheets, expense reports, etc.
