Job Duties

• Performs environmental tasks dealing with adherence to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Responsible for proper handling of all chemicals following proper infection control policies and proper PPE use
• Completes duties and responsibilities adhering to all safety and infection control policies, procedures and practices including but not limited to OSHA safety requirements, correct chemical mixing and proper usage, PPE, proper hand washing techniques, isolation procedures, safe waste handling and knowledge of emergency codes and responses
• Perform proper techniques of floor care and preparation of areas to be cleaned, buffed, stripped or waxed carpet cleaning
• Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/ burnisher, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using appropriate cleaning solutions, tools and equipment

Education: At least a high school diploma or GED is required for this position and at least 2 years of experience.

Experience: Must have a clean background! You must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/ burnisher, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to comply with policies and follow safety and security procedures.
• Capacity to comprehend and interpret written information; ability to produce concise remarks; spoken communication ability.
• The ability to perform physical labor and operate power tools commonly used in janitorial operations is required; approximately 50 pounds or more.
• Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them.
• Ability to stick to deadlines and fulfill obligations.
• The ability to adhere to a supervisor’s instructions and follow the chain of command.
• Professionalism is an asset.
• Must be able to effectively manage time and work both independently and in groups.

Work Environment

Locations vary; Some locations are individually based, and others are team based.

Work Schedule

Open Availability is a must for this position. Weekends are mandatory when a job presents itself.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
