Global Care Networks is Hiring a Dental Receptionist Near Arlington, IL

Position Summary: The Dental Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for the coordination of patient care, including scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, coordinating pre-approvals, and coordination of office tasks, including inventory and vendor management, staff coordination and also providing patient education. The ideal candidate will be responsible for communicating with patients, clients, and other providers to keep everyone informed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Schedule appointments for patients
  • Assist patients with completing paperwork
  • Coordinate referrals and care documentations with other healthcare providers and hospitals
  • Coordinate staff assignments
  • manage supplies and inventory
  • Provide patient education
  • Process patient payments
  • Assist to maintain patient records
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Language Skills: English (Essential), Spanish (Essential) and/or Russian (Preferred)

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Education/Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in dental office is a must;
  • Language Ability: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Mathematical Ability: Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft and Google Suite knowledge preferred as well as scheduling software.

The Patient Coordinator will be primarily onsite at practice location and affiliated Hospital/s. The work environment is generally quiet to moderate.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. Will be required to use hands to finger, handle or feel as well as reach with hands or arms most of the time.
