Medical Assistant with strong interpersonal skills who enjoys working one on one with patients involved in a weight loss program. Interest in aesthetic and cosmetic procedures helpful.
Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Collect and prepare laboratory blood specimens - basic phlebotomy
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Assist with patient education and counseling
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a medical assistant training program
- Previous experience working as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
