Job Title: Front Desk Associate – 2nd shift

Reports to: Front Office Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our hotel team as a 2nd Shift Front Desk Associate. In this position, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guests who check-in or check-out of the hotel during the evening and night hours. You will be the face of the hotel during this time, and will be responsible for ensuring guests have a positive experience and all their needs are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Answer phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage reservations and room assignments
  • Respond to guest inquiries and complaints, and resolve issues to their satisfaction
  • Provide information about the hotel's amenities and services, as well as local attractions and events
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping
  • Work with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager or other hotel management staff

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Prior front desk experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems (PMS)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment for extended periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
