KYC Counterparty Data and Payment Specialist

Location: New York, NY

Glencore is a natural resource energy trading company. Our back office supports our US trading and operations staff. We seek a data and payment specialist to become a key member of our team. Applicant must be motivated and detail oriented, able to absorb information quickly and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They should be prepared to be responsive, comfortable with computers and excel at both verbal and written communication.

Overview:

To accurately enter new and updated information into the company database and payment system. The employee is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the data and processing payment data securely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update, and maintain customer records in the counterparty database, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Enter payment data information in internal application promptly and accurately for electronic funds transfers.
  • Communicate with internal teams, including treasury and financial operations with any inquiries or concerns.
  • Strong analytical skills and a critical thinker.
  • Handle requests to investigate any inconsistencies with data.
  • Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry.
  • Resolving outstanding issues.
  • Provide support to the KYC/Compliance group.

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficient with MS office Excel, Word, Outlook and payment processing applications
  • Previous experience in data entry, database management, or payment processing is highly desirable.

Compensation:

The expected base salary ranges starts at $70K. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
