Glen Oaks Country Club is Hiring a Swim Instructor Near Des Moines, IA
The Swim Instructor position is responsible for conducting Glean Oaks swimming instruction and always keeping participant safe during programming. The position will work directly with the Aquatics Director.
- Lifeguard Certification
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
- Successful completion of background check
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Always monitor and supervise swimmers to ensure their safety.
- Provide adequate swim lessons to all participants.
- Build rapport with parents of participants to well represent Glean Oaks Country Club
- Respond to all incidents requiring first aid and follow emergency action procedures.
- Actively enforce all pool rules.
- Vacuum pool bottom; empty automatic skimmers; skim bugs and other debris from surface to prepare pool for daily use.
- Maintain cleanliness and all amenities in pool locker rooms including changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
- Attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-service training.
- Report any safety issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Perform administrative record keeping including sign-in/out sheets, accident/incident, and opening and closing duty reports.
- Maintain a courteous, polite, and helpful relationship with all Members and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
