Position Summary:The primary responsibility of this role is to perform individual contribution within the procurement team, performing supply chain analyst/buyer/planner activities including requests for quote, order placement and follow up, and cost/schedule negotiation in a business environment where material planning and execution is within a fully integrated SAP ERP system.Job Responsibilities:Issue requests for quotation to approved suppliers.Place purchase orders to approved suppliers within the SAP MRP system according to stock requirements.Work within the SAP MRP system to maintain lead-time, cost, and supplier delivery data.Expedite and follow up on open purchase orders as required, including managing the weekly Open Order Report process.Support the rest of the procurement team to ensure that Engineering Change Orders are processed in a timely manner.Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):General manufacturing process knowledge including commodities of sheet metal, turning, milling, electrical PLC-based control systems, motors, and robotics a plus.Ability to learn and progress.Punctuality and dependability.Attention to details.Have Strong Communication SkillsWork effectively in a team environmentSelf-starter.
