Job Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Receive, sort, distribute, and manage both incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries for the organization.
• Coordinate the distribution of packages within the building to ensure timely and accurate delivery to recipients.
• Sort deliveries according to organizational codes, using references to ensure compliance with both old and new codes.
• Conduct daily inspections of common areas, mailrooms, and shipping areas to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
• Assist the workforce with packaging and shipping tasks.
• Manage and maintain all requirements for packaging materials.
• Utilize ASTS software to track all incoming freight packages, notifying recipients and accurately documenting final delivery or pickup.
• Fulfill, maintain, and update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for delivery as needed.
• Respond to staff inquiries and provide general support for facility-related issues.
• Assist center staff in handling any issues with frustrated freight.
• Support motor pool with the distribution and tracking of directorate-assigned GSA vehicles.
• Assist property and facilities teams as directed.
• Maintain a consistent daily work schedule to ensure accessibility to the mailroom and shipping areas (must remain at work until 4 PM daily).
• This role is classified as essential. The employee is expected to be on-site during weather-related closures and emergencies to maintain operational continuity.

Experience/Skills/Education:

• High school diploma and four years of experience are required. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of experience, while an Associate's degree can substitute for two years of experience. Further training or certification in facilities management or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in mailroom operations, package handling, or facilities management preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills required.
• Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management and record-keeping.
• A team player with a problem-solving attitude.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

• This position may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
