Base Salary Range: $94,800 - $137,600

Overview

Support project leads to manage development projects from initiation to regulatory submission.
Drive project meetings and ensure projects advance according to plan, ensuring accountability of all team members, activities and deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross functional strategic discussions to ensure all elements of development are planned
  • Create and maintain project management deliverables including gantt charts, agendas, minutes, action item logs, decision logs, and risk registers
  • Helps to identify and manage risks, assisting in the development of proactive mitigation strategies
  • Manages sub-team meetings as appropriate and accurately incorporates functional area objectives into overall development plan
  • Communicate transparently and in a concise fashion to relevant stakeholders regarding project status, plans, risks and strategy
  • Exercise excellent judgment in determining appropriate project communications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively identifies critical path constraints and works with R&D management to identify solutions
  • Indirectly lead cross-functional project teams, driving timeline adherence and unwavering focus on project strategy
  • Promote implementation and cross functional adoption of “fit for purpose” PMO tools, including MS Project, consistent use of SharePoint, and reporting and analytics tools
  • Promote implementation and cross functional adoption of project management best practices and assist with training and development supporting the implementation of the organization’s PMO.
  • Perform quarterly project budgeting and accruals for assigned projects
  • Maintain current project plans to assist in the performance of quarterly assessments to evaluate project performance versus plan through submission
  • Lead special initiatives to support organizational growth, with support and guidance as needed

Requirements

  •  Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 years of experience in project management, preferably pharmaceutical product development.
  • Project management experience supporting complex projects

  • Experience facilitating and documenting team meetings to enable cross-functional communication, decision-making, and alignment with internal and external stakeholders while managing project scope, deliverables, risks, and resources

  • Operating knowledge of finance, including budgeting in MS project, project invoicing and accruals.

  • Experience in successfully working on and completing multiple projects that require strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development processes and deliverables at each stage of the pipeline, with a focus on IND enabling studies through clinical proof-of-concept, pivotal clinical and regulatory submission

Skills and Abilities:

  • Comfort working in an innovative and entrepreneurial environment; operates well with ambiguity and proactively identifies and actions solutions.
  • Strong project management skills required, including attention to detail and organization skills; project management certificate preferred
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively to develop and execute development plans
  • Adaptability to shifting strategies or changing project priorities
  • High level of communication skills including written and verbal platforms
  • Expertise in project management tools including Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint; Tableau or other BI tool experience preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
