Glass Plus Inc. Trainee Position
We are looking to fill our Glass Plus Trainee position with a qualified individual. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work and interact with a team of glass technicians, the ability to work with tools, lift 75 pounds, and focus on providing excellent customer service. More details listed below:
Responsibilities
· Learn all facets of automotive glass installation for commercial vehicles. These vehicles include semi-trucks, work vans, passenger trucks, construction equipment and other vehicles used in the day-to-day operations of a business that need glass replacement.
· Learn how to operate a variety of tools as required to service automotive glass parts.
· The training program lasts 1-3 months depending on how quickly the trainee learns the skills needed to be successful in the position of auto glass technician. This is a great opportunity for a long-term career and the trainee is paid while learning how to become an automotive glass technician.
· All work must be completed to company standards with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
· Ability to cover after-hours jobs when needed and work on Saturday when scheduled.
· The trainee will learn how to complete all the necessary work documentation. This must be submitted in a timely fashion with all the required details.
· Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
· Present a professional appearance and wear personal protective equipment.
· Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
· Maintain an exceptional driving record.
Qualifications
· Experience working with tools is required.
· The ability to lift and move pieces of glass weighing up to 75 pounds is essential.
· Trade school training and ASE’s a plus.
· Must be willing to travel to customer locations to complete work assignments. The company covers the metro Atlanta market and somedays the travel can be extensive.
· Must display a sense of urgency when responding to customer service needs while maintaining a focus on safety.
· Previous knowledge on removing and installing automotive glass would be preferred but not required to enter the training program.
· Pass a background check, drug test, and have a clean motor vehicle record with the state of Georgia is required.
· Comfortable working outside in a variety of weather conditions.
· Ability to positively interact with a team, learn quickly, and maintain excellent customer service.

· Employees can purchase Dental, Vision, AD &D, Short-Term Disability, and additional life insurance at competitive rates after 3-months of employment. The company will provide $25 per month that can be used towards any of these additional insurance benefits.

· Ability to earn after-hours pay after completing training program $45 - $65 per job.
· Techs will be provided with 2018 or newer F-150 truck after completing the training program that can also be used to drive to and from work at zero cost to the employee.
Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
