Description of the work:

· Set clear expectations for team and hold them accountable to follow all GMC safety guidelines.

· Urgency mindset on a constant basis to make the Shipping/Logistics department successful

· Ensure that Glass and Mirror Craft’s delivery drivers are following all pre-trip and post-trip expectations including: truck inspections, DOT Log performance and completion, COM procedure, return procedure, pattern procedure, truck cleanliness, and route performance.

· Hold AM Shift accountable to completing jobsites and crating in a timely matter and complete all end of shift tasks. The AM shift needs to check all Call When Ready glass in daily.

· Manage entire truck fleet: track truck maintenance expenditures, repairs, and stay on top of preventive maintenance for the entire truck fleet.

· Hold Pre-shifts every day with both the Drivers and Loaders reviewing safety, quality, department performance, and company performance, along with issues that need to be addressed.

· Assist Drivers with issues while they are on the road

· Work with Customer Service and Engineering on scheduling all jobsites. Pair up nearby sites to run a more profitable and efficient route.

· Hold PM Shift accountable to getting routes completed by 6am and completed all end of shift tasks

· Create a Training Plan for all new hires.

· Coordinate Rescue Plans daily with Customer Service and Production to ensure glass gets complete and delivered.

· Build routes for shipment and set a plan for the night shift on the order of routes that need to be loaded to ensure drivers with longer trips are leaving. Route all backorders for next possible shipment and communicate plan to customer service.

· Communicate to PM Shift the loaders plan and any carryover from AM shift that needs to be finished.

· Manage and coach team members by completing reviews, succession planning and documentation

· Review attendance daily and follow up with individuals who have infractions.

Qualifications

· 4-year College Degree within Supply Chain/Business or equivalent work experience

· Logistics experience in routing of trucks and third party vendors.

· Previous work experience within Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain, and/or Warehouse setting.

· 1 years of experience in a Supervisor or Team Lead role in a department of 10 team members that reported to you.

· Understanding of DOT regulations and laws is required.

· Ability to communicate throughout various departments in ensure finished products are being shipped out on time

· Fundamental understanding of the movement of product through a multi-process manufacturing environment, and the need to keep on top of daily schedules.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
