CERTIFIED ARBORIST

SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position is responsible for conducting tree work on commercial and private properties according to the customer’s highest standards in an efficient and timely manner. In addition, leading other crew members, giving direction and other duties will be assigned during other time periods. We are looking for applicants who are experienced.

HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position. Because this is a weather-dependent outdoor position, hours may be adjusted at any time. Normal work hours are 40 – 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday with some Saturday work. Normal work year is Spring through Fall, however, more hours may be available for snow removal in the Winter.

REQUIRED LICENSES: A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is desirable and a CDL would be preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Prior tree work is required. Tree climbing and rigging experience is required. This is not an entry-level position. Employees must be mechanically inclined physically fit and have a good work ethic.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The following duties are included for this position:

· Climbing trees safely.

· Must be able to work independently and/or with other crews.

· Proper pruning of trees.

· Tree removal.

· Groundwork.

· Proper rigging of trees.

· Operate lifts, chippers, and stump grinders.

· Operate fleet vehicles.

· Properly and safely operate hand tools such as the chain saw.

· Wear proper PPE and work in a safe manner.

· Rope and saddle tree climbing.

JOB LOCATION: Madison metropolitan area.

PAY RATE: The rate is based upon experience.
