**Job Summary**

Leads the Logistics Team Leaders in managing, operating and controlling all physical flows to, within, and from the site. Manages the teams and process effectiveness of receiving operations, transport organizing and planning, warehouse operations, management of physical inventory, internal logistics, and outbound operations. Ensures Logistics team execute activities within site, national, and international regulations where applicable. Initiate/Manage continuous improvement activities, including site LEAN and Hoshin Kanri objectives

**Job Responsibilities**

Ensure safe working environment

Manage the team based on Employee Involvement principles

Manage the workload of the area (receiving, shipping, internal movements, warehouse) via standard work and optimization of the allocated resources

Develop and optimize all physical and information flows using LEAN principles (including company owned external warehouses)

Ensures inventory accuracy and reliability (FIFO, cycle counting, etc.)

Define and set up the physical organization of warehouses within the site

Organize and control the internal transportation of material in order to assure the best service level and cost

Interface between supply chain and production at shop floor level ensuring material movement is in accordance with operational expectations

Manage and control the transactions for all physical flows

Manage inbound and outbound freight with external providers, suppliers and customers

**Job Qualifications**

**Basic Qualifications:**

Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management

3 years of professional experience in logistics management

3 years of LEAN experience

3 years of experience with manufacturing environments

**Preferred Qualifications:**

GKN Experience

ERP/ MRP expertise particularly for transactional flow

Project Management experience

Transport management experience

Warehousing and Packaging experience

Material Handling experience
