Giving Tree Pet Resort is a family-owned pet resort located in the heart of Reston, VA. We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled groomer. We are expecting a large number of requests for the grooming of our dogs who are staying for daycare and/or boarding.

Qualifications & Responsibilities for Dog Groomer

• Must LOVE and enjoy being around dogs!
• Cut or shave a dog's hair or fur to the customers' requested style
• Comfort working with various breeds of dogs and cats
• Hand shearing and scissoring skills
• Ability to work with dogs that weigh over 60 lbs.
• Maintain an upbeat attitude
• Calm an anxious dog
• Ensure company policies are being followed
• Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need
• Shampoo and wash a dog's hair or fur
• Create a welcoming environment for dogs and their owners

Our ideal hire:

• Pet Groomer with Professional Certification and at least 2 full years of experience, post-graduation/apprenticeship
• Outstanding customer-service skills
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred

Pay: $32,207.86 - $69,616.80 per year

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
