Givens Transportation is searching for a skilled Dispatcher with a deep understanding of drayage operations at the Ports of Virginia (PoV).
Our drayage team is primarily managing deliveries through Trinium, our Drayage Transportation Management System, and maintaining information within several customer portals and proprietary systems.
As a Dispatcher, this role's primary responsibility will involve Long Haul Drayage from the PoV. This includes managing delivery appointments, obtaining overweight permits when necessary, and assigning drivers for seamless operations.
Additionally, the candidate will provide coverage for our Local Drayage team during vacations. Our business extends beyond the PoV, reaching Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and we are actively seeking to grow our drayage operations at the Georgia Port Authority (Garden City / Savannah) and South Carolina Ports (Charleston SC).
This position will a play a key role in expanding our drayage operations to these ports.
