Sampling Operator II, 1st shift

Purpose

Under regular supervision, manipulate materials and operate manufacturing equipment for production of ordered sample products.

Core Responsibilities

• Ship packages using FexEx Ship Manager Software or other designated program.
• Monitor and fulfil samples from internal sample request software WEBPRQ, or designated software, by required deadlines.
• Ship internal sample request samples to requestors in a safe and efficient manner.
• Pick sample requests from internal warehouse in a manner that is complaint with
• Givaudan GMP and Food Safety Standards.
• Adjust inventory of any samples taken. (SAP) Required for traceability purposes.
• Make stock movements for any inventory that is moved throughout the warehouse due to sampling. (SAP) Required for traceability purposes.
• Obtain/maintain dangerous goods shipping qualifications.
• Develop and implement labelling system for internal samples that is compliant with EHS, Regulatory, and Quality Standards.
• Order and maintain inventory of supplies needed to ship samples.
• Communicate status of internal samples with internal customers. (Use e-mail and speak to FC&A, Sales support, Customer Care, etc.) Coordinate meetings/phone calls if needed. Provide tracking information for packages shipped.
• Manage Quality inventory of samples required from 3PL.
• Operate equipment as per defined procedures and in compliance with applicable product regulations in order to meet qualitative, quantitative as well as financial targets.
• Maintain assigned equipment to allow their continuous operation and escalate any defect to the Group Leader for repair or replacement.
• Apply security and EHS regulations to prevent accidents and protect plant assets.
• Able to work daily overtime and weekends as needed.
• Able to work different shifts as needed.
• Perform related tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Academic Background

• Vocational/technical diploma

Professional Experience

• 3 to 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in using production related IT equipment.
• Good understanding of sampling production process.
• Previous experience using SAP software preferred.
• Able to lift 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to walk and/or stand several hours to collect and ship samples.
