What will I be doing when I work for Givaudan Carthage?

As a Chemical Operator in the Chemical Manufacturing department, you will learn how do the following to create food and beverage flavorings and extracts of the highest quality for consumer food products:

• Produce specialty chemicals, reaction products, extracts and distillates
• Operate various types of production equipment including multipurpose reactors, spinning cone column, mixers, and more
• Use a variety of analytical instrumentation to perform in-process testing to assure product quality
• Use computerized production workstations and RF scanner equipment
• Perform quality control checks to ensure color, aroma, and other characteristics meet customer requirements
• Use material-handling equipment like forklifts to move containers of ingredients and finished products
• Comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements, and company procedures

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for a position as a chemical operator on our high performing manufacturing operations team, you will have as a minimum:

• No food allergies

• A high school diploma.

Ideal candidates will also have

• 3 years previous production manufacturing experience in a chemical-related field

• The ability to lift 50lbs and the desire to be active as you will stand frequently move around to do your job

• Experience operating a fork-lift, ideally with a current forklift certification; or, the willingness to learn

• A background performing routine work assignments and following directions with moderate supervision

• A team player mind set with a willingness to communicate openly and easily work with others and across departments to achieve production goals and exceed customer expectations.
