ABOUT GIRLS PREPARATORY SCHOOL:
Girls Preparatory School (GPS) was founded in 1906 to provide girls with the necessary courses to pursue a college education. GPS has proudly graduated almost 6,000 young women. Currently, 130 faculty and staff serve approximately 520 in grades 6-12 with a college preparatory curriculum that includes a full complement of humanities, arts, and STEM courses and co curricular programs of leadership development, athletics, and community engagement.
ABOUT CADEK CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC
Cadek Conservatory of Music, founded in 1904, is a conservatory for everyone. We offer private and group music lessons for all ages, skill levels, and instruments at our three locations—Girls Preparatory School, The Bright School, and McCallie School.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position reports to the Cadek Director and is part of the team of instructors at the Conservatory who provide after-school lessons at Cadek’s primary location—Girls Preparatory School. We anticipate that our classical guitar instructor will need to teach 2-3 days per week. The ability to teach a half-day on Saturday is highly desirable.
The primary function of this role is to provide private classical guitar lessons to children and adults of all ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will, in addition to teaching classical guitar, also be able to teach an additional stringed instrument, such as (but not limited to) electric guitar or bass, mandolin, or banjo.
