Unit Leader for Summer Camp

Camp Ledgewood- Peninsula, OH

Compensation : $475 / week

Dates : June 7 to August 6, 2024

The Unit Leader will work as a team with the Program Director and program staff to develop and implement unit programs. Oversee unit counselors, unit paperwork, and scheduling.

Work with campers to provide fun, high-quality program opportunities. Ensure the safety of all participants. Interact appropriately with campers in a variety of situations using appropriate positive behavior management techniques.

Requirements :

• Minimum age 20
• Ability to creatively schedule programs, facilities, and staff
• Able to supervise staff and campers
• Demonstrated ability to successfully handle conflict resolution at all levels with a variety of people, including external customers
• Ability to observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures
• Possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to communicate the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and / or authority when necessary
• Well disciplined, able to meet deadlines
• Self-starter
• Ability to work well as a part of a team
