Bear Creek Aquatic Camp is a traditional overnight summer camp owned and operated by Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana. Bear Creek is 183-acres tucked away in Girl Scout Bay on Kentucky Lake, playing host to a variety of aquatic sports like sailing, paddling and swimming. Our program hosts girls in grades 4-12 with up to 80 campers and staff. The director team will attend training 5/24- 6/9. We are seeking an enthusiastic Aquatics Director to provide the ultimate summer camp experience for our campers. The Aquatics Director oversees our aquatic program, facilities, and equipment. The Aquatics Director will train and supervise unit staff in aquatic areas, work with campers, and support needs around camp. The waterfront director will manage lifeguards and water watchers by creating rotation schedules, planning regular drills and maintaining safety standards. Other duties include supporting trips across Kentucky lake,cookout nights, participating in daily camp life, and more. The Aquatics Director should be responsible, attentive, and fun-loving. The ideal candidate will have expertise with power boats and life guarding. They will be invested in the development of our campers and staff and how our program can best empower them.
