GIRL SCOUTS OF GREATER LOS ANGELES is Hiring a Retail Fulfillment Specialist Near Santa Clarita, CA

Job Summary
Responsible for retail sales through a variety of services to support our Girl Scout membership in geographic areas outside of traditional brick and mortar locations. To include, scheduling, coordinating, organizing, and facilitating Girl Scout pop up shops and retail sales opportunities within the Greater Los Angeles area (GSGLA), in addition to the merchandise fulfillment and scheduling delivery of customer orders in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing pleasant and professional interaction with customers via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Pulling merchandise, processing, and completing small and large sale orders for customers.
  • Coordinating orders for delivery to GSGLA locations (lockers and meetings) or shipping direct to customer.
  • Completing online orders and shipping direct to customers.
  • Practice and maintain physical inventory control methods for all merchandise needed to support customer sales and online sales.
  • Accurate counting in and receiving in of merchandise shipments.
  • Makes outbound calls to schedule seasonal pop-up shops with membership in San Fernando and Antelope Valley regions, and other areas with the Greater Los Angeles area as needed.
  • Plan and work internally with other Retail staff and departments for off-site Girl Scout pop up shop and council wide event implementation.
  • Knowledgeable on all retail merchandise available and can educate our members about Girl Scout program and all other product offered.
  • Adhere to and supports Retail policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which they are free to move about at will. The environment for this position is mostly clean and comfortable but may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc. In the course of performing this work, the incumbent:

  • Will spend time sitting, utilizing the computer.
  • Will spend time standing/walking throughout the facilities.
  • Will travel for work via a GSGLA vehicle to various facilities throughout the region.
  • May lift to 25 lbs. periodically. If more, the incumbent must request assistance.
  • The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely, without endangering the health or safety of themselves or others.
