Gipe Associates, Inc., a Maryland-based Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Firm, is looking to hire for the following position:

Assistant Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer for Building Systems

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree with 5 years’ experience working for a consulting engineering firm, proficient in the design of building systems for commercial, institutional, and/or educational buildings and possess the desire and aptitude to move into a project management position.

Duties & Expectations include:

• Ability to work and coordinate with others

• Excellent Communication Skills

• Willingness to develop engineering expertise, under the guidance of our senior engineers

• Coordinate with clients and consultants.

• Maintain schedules

• Proficient use of REVIT and AutoCAD

• Develop/Review Prepare Cost Estimates

• Perform Life Cycle Cost Analysis

• Perform Calculations

• Develop thoroughly coordinated specifications and construction drawings

• Attend and Document Progress Meetings

• Review Submittals/Shop Drawings

• Answer RFIs
