Position Summary:

The HVAC Technician utilizes HVAC/VTAC skills to install heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in the creation of modular housing units, ensuring each modular unit is equipped with efficient and reliable HVAC systems; and may perform various tasks supporting modular unit production.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

1. Collaborates with employees concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the parameters of the build.
2. Estimates equipment, tool, and material requirements for each job.
3. Installs and inspects HVAC systems in accordance with company standards and industry regulations/codes.
4. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and makes necessary repairs or replacements.
5. Collaborates with the construction team to ensure proper installation and integration of HVAC systems in modular buildings.
6. Builds, dismantles, and repairs structures, walls, roofs, glass, and siding as assigned.
7. Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
8. Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
9. Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
10. Joins materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive.
11. Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as rulers, levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
12. Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
13. Maintains HVAC/VTAC knowledge with industry advancements and best practices in HVAC technology.
14. Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
15. Always adheres to safety protocols and follows policies and procedures.

1. Regular and predictable attendance within the Ginosko-assigned facilities.
2. Other duties as assigned by Management.

Education/Certification/Licensing/Experience Requirements:

1. Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
2. Experience: Three years' experience in the building trades field with proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair; previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.
3. Certificates & Licenses: HVAC preferred.
4. Other Requirements: Strong stakeholder service skills. Exceptional dedication to dependability and punctuality. Strong work ethic. Additional abilities required:

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including electrical and mechanical components.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to HVAC systems.
• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
• Ability to read, write and use micrometers, calipers, tape measures and other related measurement equipment required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and works well as part of a team and independently.
