GINER is Hiring a Director of Manufacturing Near Newton, MA

The majority of Giner’s manufacturing activities are small batch runs of electrolyzer or fuel cell components and stacks. Customers for our products include the US Navy and NASA, who both purchase critical equipment for life support systems in extreme environments.

There are also many projects where we are manufacturing next generation prototypes, which results in frequent interactions between manufacturing and our engineering development teams to ensure we are achieving the desired specifications and performance. In addition, there are certain standard products, including some biomedical products, with established manufacturing instructions and complete quality specifications.

Giner has a small but dynamic manufacturing capability. There is an experienced, highly capable team of 3 manufacturing technicians. This team works in a manufacturing space of approximately 3,000 square feet equipped with a set of basic manufacturing equipment, including ovens, presses, tack welders, dinking machines, a plating bath and grit blaster.

We are looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic Manufacturing Director to report to our VP of Aerospace and Defense and take responsibility for key aspects of manufacturing activities, including:

- managing the core manufacturing team;

- managing our manufacturing supply chain (in coordination with the Company’s Purchasing Specialist);

- collaborating with our Safety Director to ensure that safety always comes first in the Manufacturing area;

- leading the scheduling of orders in coordination with external and internal customers;

- achieving the highest levels of quality performance and continuous improvement with the support of our Quality Manager;

- and achieving product manufacturing profitability based upon meeting or exceeding cost standards and estimates.
