Gillette Heating and Air Conditioning is Hiring a HVAC Designer Near Spanish Fork, UT

Full Job Description

We are a growing Heating and Air Conditioning company located currently in Spanish Fork, Utah that services all of the Utah and Salt Lake County that offers its employees work-life balance and opportunity to grow.

At Gillette Heating and Air Conditioning work with construction plans delivered by our clients. This position will involve the entire design process including, but not limited to, Plan review, Manual J load Calculations, AutoCAD drawings, permits set, and site plans. HVAC designers will also be responsible for providing equipment selection and sizing.

Core Skills:

  • Ability to handle high workloads with a diverse client base
  • Excellent AutoCAD skills (3-5 years experience)
  • Willing to Train on Program
  • Knowledge of residential construction practices
  • Knowledge of residential energy and mechanical codes
  • High level of personal responsibility, accuracy, and organization

Requirements:

  • Knowledge in Excel, Word, and Access
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or willingness to be trained
  • Knowledge of Wrightsoft software for performing Manual J8 (Load) calculations with the inclusion of current specification (builder and code specific)
  • Design working drawings of HVAC layouts derived from Manual J load calculations
  • Commissioning of completed projects
  • Process projects for permitting
  • Assist Foreman and Warehouse Manager with design questions and revisions
