Leadership opportunity - Advanced Practice Provider Team!

This is a clinical leader who will balance patient care and administrative duties. Dedicated patient care will be 0.2 FTE and administrative time will be 0.8 FTE.

Monday through Friday role, after hours call required. Located on main campus in St. Paul. Exempt with flexible hours to meet the needs of department and organization.

This position provides department level leadership direction and support to implement the strategic and operational objectives of Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in regard to our advanced practice providers and model of care. The position has responsibility for ensuring the provision of high quality, safe care and achieving exemplary patient experiences while developing an engaged staff and provider group. The incumbent will monitor overall practice performance, identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve patient experience, with a strong focus on standardization of workflow. They will develop and introduce approved standards and guidelines for advanced practice providers.

Compensation & Benefits Information:

Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity. Salary is just one component of the compensation package for employees. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to initiate significant and complex process improvement initiatives that involve a number of stakeholders
  • Demonstrate ability to work closely with physicians and clinical providers
  • Strong knowledge, skills, and experience in communicating with diverse groups, negotiating complex issues and in maintaining professional relationships
  • Time management, problem solving, protocol, policy, and procedure development skills
  • Financial and budget management experience; ability to analyze trends and changes in healthcare environment
  • Management of human resources experience, including recruiting and retention, staffing and performance management
  • Interest in and commitment to advancing services for individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated managerial leadership including:
    • Ability to design and execute new and significantly revised work flows and processes on time and within budget
    • Ability to manage across function and service types with excellence in staff engagement, customer experience, and operational efficiency
    • Ability to define, analyze and interpret business information needs to promote and sustain successful operations from customer experience, revenue cycle, and operational efficiency perspectives.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Advance Practice Provider (Registered nurse or physician assistant)
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience relevant to the position
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare leadership, supervisory or managerial role within a relevant clinical setting

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree with a clinical or business focus (obtained or in process)
  • Additional educational preparation and/or professional certification or advancement
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
