Currently, we are in search of an exceptional and driven Logistics Liaison to join our dynamic team. As a Logistics Liaison at Gillespie & Powers, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our company's mission and leading our team to greater achievements. The Logistics Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our company's supply chain and logistics operations. They will be responsible for managing the efficient flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in logistics management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline the supply chain, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage procurement processes, vendor relationships, and inventory control.

Transportation and Distribution:

  • Oversee the transportation of goods, ensuring on-time delivery while minimizing transportation costs.
  • Optimize routing and scheduling to improve delivery performance.

Vendor Management:

  • Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers and carriers to secure favorable terms and rates.
  • Continuously assess vendor performance and maintain strong partnerships.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Generate and analyze logistics reports, providing recommendations for process improvements.

Cost Management:

  • Monitor and control logistics expenses, working to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective logistics solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with best practices in supply chain management.
  • Ability to use data in making logistics more efficient.
  • Understanding of both warehouse and transportation management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Research and analysis skills.
  • Collaborative attitude.
  • Solution-oriented mindset.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics management, or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project required.
  • International experience a plus.
  • 2 years of experience, construction industry experience a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
