Essential Functions Of The Role

THIS IS FOR 2ND SHIFT - This individual will be a key member of the operations staff, working closely with production control, engineering, quality, and other areas of production to ensure business goals are met. This role will be a significant contributor as we strive to drive growth in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Wavestream is seeking an energetic, independent RF Test Technician on our 2nd Shift to aid in testing of our products. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing our sub-assemblies and/or top-level systems based on requirements and specification as well as working with other members of the team. We value teamwork, innovation, inquisitiveness, leadership and accountability.

Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and must demonstrate ability to fulfill the responsibilities listed above.
  • Must be able to read drawings, test procedures and schematics to build and test product.
  • Knowledge in operation of signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and network analyzers
  • Proficient in understanding RF theory and frequency ranges within KU, KA, C, and X-band
  • Must be familiar with standard bench top equipment including power supplies, volt meters, oscilloscopes, DC programmable loads, solder irons, microscope etc.
  • ESD (electro-static discharge) knowledge and training
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong initiative, teamwork, time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required typing skills.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for an extended period of time


Compensation:
$22 to $25 Per Hour

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for meeting production requirements. Collaborating with other departments to ensure all required resources are available to sustain production needs while maintaining quality standards, safety requirements, and production deadlines.
  • Calibration and maintenance of RF test equipment
  • Testing units per requirements and specifications
  • Evaluating and recording critical test data
  • Setting up test stations and equipment
  • Troubleshooting problematic production units
  • Manage transfer, documentation and recovery of failed units to/from rework station, RMA, MRB, and engineering evaluation locations.
  • Tuning and testing units per specifications
  • Preparing units for final quality control inspection
  • Updating work order and/or traveler paperwork upon completion of processes
  • Use electrical/electronic test fixtures to qualify components and conduct testing.
  • Attention to detail and to-do list execution skills
  • Provide assistance to engineering team for new products (NPI) or proto-types, while identifying any potential issues with manufacturability of design.
  • Aid in managing the facility, to include equipment and facility maintenance as required.
  • Other duties as assigned
