The Menig Nursing Home at the Gifford Retirement Community, named for Howard and Gladys Menig of Braintree, opened in 1998. This 30-bed nursing home located in the heart of beautiful Vermont offers a long history of excellent care. Often featured in local media for its creative activities and many accomplishments, Menig has received both the Gold Star Award for excellence in workplace environment and the Nursing Home Quality Award for the state for excellence in resident care. The Vermont Health Care Association has also honored both Menigs director of nursing and charge nurse as leaders in their fields.
Gifford is currently looking for a per diem RN to join our award winning team at Menig Nursing Home. This person will be responsible for assisting in coordination of nursing care for patients, serving as a patient advocate, providing patient and family teaching in a multidisciplinary health care setting. She/he will provide direct care to assigned patients in conformance with hospital policies, professional standards, physician orders, and approved plan of care. The nursing process will be utilized in the provision of patient care. She/he will function within limits of Vermont Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, guided by Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice, hospital and nursing department policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma and current RN license by the State of Vermont required. EOE
