Ghostlight Coffee in Dayton, OH is looking for one coffee & bagel shop lead to join our team. We are located at 800 S. Patterson Blvd. in Dayton. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities (many of these are full staff responsibilities, that the team lead would help to maintain and encourage full participation)

• This is a working lead barista & FOH/customer service position.
• Monitor and work with all baristas on beverage quality control. Communicate with Director of Coffee and Retail Operations on needs for additional training of baristas to ensure the highest beverage standards possible.
• Lead the front of house staff of baristas & customer service personnel in daily operations including opening/closing procedures, inventory control, front of house standards, maintaining retail.
• Help to establish and maintain excellent customer service standards with all FOH staff
• Lead coffee bar staff and delegate responsibility as needed, including taking inventory, requesting ingredients and products, etc.
• Work with Kitchen Lead and kitchen staff to maintain quality products and service standards
• Coordinate with Baristas, Kitchen Lead and Company Directors for seasonal special offerings and menu changes.
• Work with the Director of Retail & Coffee with carrying out FOH training plans (such as coffee bar & front of house service) in order to effectively staff FOH.
• Assist Director of Retail & Coffee with point of sale updates, as necessary for daily operations.
• Work with Director of Bakery and Culinary and the bakery team on managing baked goods inventory and waste. Report waste to directors to help budget & plan.
• Maintain and revise as necessary - opening & closing procedures, effectively communicate those systems to the staff and ensure the entire team is effectively executing them.
• Serve as the primary point of communication for customer concerns and needs.
• Coordinate with bakery, kitchen and baristas special orders and requests, ensuring these requests are relayed to appropriate departments. Coordinate with FOH staff on procedures for taking and communicating these orders.
